01 — Who we are
Black Ink & Co. is an integrated advisory working with businesses, brands, founders and professionals. For the personal information described in this policy, Black Ink & Co. is the data controller unless we tell you otherwise. You can contact us at info@blackinkandco.com.
02 — Information we collect
When you contact us or submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number and country code, company or organisation if applicable, the capacity in which you are enquiring, requested services, expected timeline, budget range, project requirements and any other information you choose to include.
If you enter or consider a business relationship with us, we may also collect correspondence, proposals, contracts, billing information and service-delivery records.
We receive aggregated website usage information through Framer Analytics, such as page views, referral sources, device type and approximate country. Framer describes its built-in analytics as cookie-free and without persistent identifiers.
03 — How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries; schedule discovery calls and prepare proposals; assess the fit and scope of potential work; manage and deliver engagements; operate, secure and improve our website and services; maintain business, accounting and compliance records; meet legal obligations; and send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
04 — Legal bases
Where applicable, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering a contract or performing a contract; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, managing relationships, improving our services and protecting our business; your consent for optional marketing or where consent is otherwise required; and compliance with legal obligations.
05 — How we share information
We may share personal information with trusted providers that support our website, email, business operations, professional advice and service delivery; with advisers, contractors or specialists involved in responding to or delivering an engagement under appropriate confidentiality obligations; with public authorities where required by law; or with a successor in connection with a corporate transaction.
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
06 — International transfers
Black Ink & Co. works across markets and may use service providers, advisers or specialists in countries other than your own. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use contractual, technical and organisational safeguards required by applicable law.
07 — Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to and assessing enquiries, maintaining appropriate business records, delivering services and meeting contractual, accounting, tax or legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it securely.
08 — Your rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent and complain to a data protection authority. These rights may be subject to lawful exceptions.
California residents may also have rights to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing where applicable, and to receive equal service and pricing when exercising privacy rights. Black Ink & Co. does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

09 — Cookies and analytics
The current site does not intentionally use non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. Framer Analytics, which supports our site analytics, is designed to operate without cookies or persistent identifiers. If we introduce optional third-party tools that require consent, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate consent choice where required.
10 — Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11 — Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
